Drill Bits: States Ask Detroit to Build a Nat Gas Car, Gov. Corbett Still Stumps for Cracker, and Aluminum Drill Pipes

NPR: The governors of 20 states have taken an unusual step toward influencing the auto industry. They’ve asked Detroit to build a passenger car powered by compressed natural gas.

Pittsburgh Tribune: Gov. Corbett continues to stump for a shale gas processing plant in Beaver County. He says he’s worried Shell will take their operation elsewhere.

Reuters: Alcoa will supply aluminum pipes for shale gas wells. The aluminum pipes enable deeper drilling than the traditional steel pipes.
