Drill Bits: Air Quality Updates

The American Lung Association says southeastern Pennsylvania’s air isn’t great, but it’s getting better. (Inquirer)

The same “not great, but better” summary applies to northeastern Pennsylvania (Times-Tribune), but the Pittsburgh area is in the Lung Association’s bottom 25 (Post-Gazette).

The American Legislative Exchange Council has been in the news lately for the “stand your ground” bills it pushes as “model legislation” for states. Both the New York Times and ProPublica point out the group also offers a model fracking disclosure bill, modeled after last year’s Texas law.
