Rehm Talks Fracking

WAMU’s nationally-syndicated Diane Rehm Show focused on natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale for an hour today. Guests discussed the falling price of natural gas, the EPA’s new drilling regulations, and methane migration.

You can listen to the program here.

Rehm frequently covers natural gas drilling. As she noted at the top of today’s show, she owns land in drilling-heavy Susquehanna County. When former DEP Secretary John Hanger appeared on the show last year,he accused her of taking an anti-drilling slant, and cutting him off. Rehm told StateImpact Pennsylvania that their cross-talk had been due to the fact that Hanger had called into the show, while the other guests were in-studio.
