Pitt Wins Federal Energy Grant

Pitt has won a federal grant aimed at training nuclear scientists, as the AP reports:

The Department of Energy says it’s awarding $1.3 million to the University of Pittsburgh to help train the next generation of nuclear scientists.

The DOE says in a release Tuesday that the graduate fellowships and research grants will support a project to help develop a plan for a very high temperature reactor and a new radiation detection laboratory.
