Check out New York Magazine’s rank­ing of energy-efficient light­bulbs. As the mag­a­zine reports, man­u­fac­tur­ers have been beef­ing up energy-saving light­ing options in antic­i­pa­tion of new fed­eral effi­ciency guidelines.

Last week, StateIm­pact Penn­syl­va­nia pro­vided a progress report on the energy effi­ciency plan Pres­i­dent Obama announced in State Col­lege last year. Our ver­dict: it hasn’t got­ten too far.
