Republican U.S. Senator Pat Toomey isn’t happy about President Obama’s decision to reject the Keystone X.L. Pipeline’s application.
Here’s the statement Toomey’s office just sent out:

ā€œPresident Obama has been trying to campaign against a do-nothing Congress, but he is the one who is impeding job creation and economic growth in this country,ā€ Sen. Toomey said. ā€œThe Keystone pipeline has the potential to create tens of thousands of American jobs, increase our access to oil from our friend in Canada, and diminish our dependence on less secure sources of energy. The pipeline has broad bipartisan support in Congress, and it does not require any taxpayer dollars to build it. Iā€™m extremely disappointed that President Obama has chosen to sacrifice American jobs and our energy security to appease environmental special interests.ā€
