We’ll have more on Governor Corbett’s new impact fee later today. But meantime, in other environmental news, there’s a new solar farm in Dauphin County.

The Dauphin County commissioners Monday unveiled the county’s new 1-megawatt solar farm.
The farm, one of the largest municipal-owned solar-generation fields in Pennsylvania, is on 5 acres of municipal-owned land in Middle Paxton and West Hanover townships.
It boasts 4,340 solar panels that will produce approximately 1,400,000 kilowatts of electricity per year, enough to offset 18 percent to 20 percent of the power usage at the county’s facilities.

The story comes from the Patriot-News. We’ll have more on the state of green energy in Pennsylvania, later this week on the StateImpact website.
