Another Hotel Going Up In Williamsport

Yet another hotel is being built in Williamsport, where the city’s lodgings are all booked for months at a time, due to heavy Marcellus Shale drilling in the region.
From the Sun-Gazette:

A 97-room Residence Inn by Marriott, proposed for 145 W. Third St., is a step closer to reality today.
City Council Thursday night approved demolition of the building housing the former CareerLink and Wilson’s warehouse during its meeting Thursday night to make way for the planned hotel by New York developer George Tsunis.
The building design indicates a four-story flagship hotel. An agreement of sale is moving foward and the request by Chartwell Laurel St. LLC for demolition was granted.
