“Lake Texoma Businesses Want Definition to ‘Emergency’”

Hydropower production was one of the main reasons lake Texoma was created. No one says the Corps of Engineers is breaking the law by continuing to provide power from the drought-stricken lake, but many would like to see policies changed — or better defined.


Plunging water levels in Lake Texoma have revealed a longstanding disagreement between businesses that depend on it for their livelihood and the Army Corps of Engineers whose primary mission is to provide hydropower to communities.
