The Economy at Work: Policy to People

Visualizing the State of the State Address

Here’s a different take on Monday’s State of the State address by Gov. Mary Fallin.

The 50 most-frequent words in her prepared remarks are shown above. The bigger the word, the more it was used.

Hit the jump to compare the 2012 address to last year’s.

These compare the text of Fallin’s speeches from 2011 and 2012 — as prepared — and don’t reflect an actual transcript of either address.

We cleaned up the text a bit to remove words like ‘state,’ ‘year,’ ‘Oklahoma’ and ‘Oklahomans.’

Any differences jump out at you?
