OSU and Cleveland Clinic Team Up To Commercialize

Earlier this week we brought you this story of ratcheting up commercialization efforts at Ohio’s research universities. Well, yesterday the Cleveland Clinic announced a new partnership it’s formed with Ohio State University to – you guessed it – promote commercialization, specifically of healthcare technology.


The university and the health system will together assess their respective projects and strengths and designate 20 technologies as initial commercialization priorities.Dr. Thomas Graham, chief innovation officer at the Cleveland Clinic, said the partnership should put to rest perceptions that the two institutions are competitors.They are, in fact, collaborators, Graham said.
