Member of State School Board Steps Down

Retired teacher Darryl Mehaffie has resigned from the Ohio State Board of Education, saying he doesn’t have enough time to serve on the board anymore, the Columbus Dispatch reported.


Darryl Mehaffie, a retired teacher from Greenville, resigned from the Ohio Board of Education today. The appointee of Gov. John Kasich said in an e-mail that he no longer had the time to serve on the 19-member panel. Mehaffie, 70, served on the board for 1½ years.
