You Should Come to #ohedchat Tweetup 2013

Ohio educators gather on Twitter Mondays at 9 p.m. to solve–or at least discuss–the big issues in Ohio schools. It’s called #ohedchat.

The new Common Core curriculum, technology in schools, standardized testingnew teacher evaluations and more–They’re all fair game for discussion under the #ohedchat hashtag.

On June 29, #ohedchat jumps to a new level with #ohedchat Tweetup 2013.

You should join them.

What is a tweetup?

A tweetup is a chance for people with shared interests who have been chatting online to meet in person and continue their discussions face-to-face.

Where and when is the #ohedchat tweetup?

It’s on June 29 from noon-3 p.m. at COSI in Columbus. It’s free and open to all.

What will happen at the tweetup?

The tweetup will include an “un-icebreaker,” opportunities to meet fellow #ohedchat participants, table discussions on topics discussed on #ohedchat, an “around the horn” panel for intellectual engagement and lots of tweeting, sharing, laughing, learning and food.

Why should I go?

Because you want to meet other educators passionate about their work. Because you want to meet that guy only know by Twitter username. Because you want to learn what’s working in other schools. Because it won’t be boring.
