Week Ahead: State Board of Education, eTech Twitter Chat and More
Monday-Tuesday: Ohio state Board of Education holds its first meeting of the year. The board is slated to select a committee to help make big decisions about the new school report cards. They’ll also elect officers and vote on a new policy regulating the use of seclusion and restraint in Ohio schools, among other matters.
Tuesday: Ohio Department of Education holds a hearing that could determine if troubled Columbus charter school Scholarts must close.
Wednesday: eTech Ohio hosts a Twitter chat on the topic of blended learning starts at 8 p.m. Use hashtag #OETChat.

And on Tuesday, the Columbus school board meets to discuss the process for selecting a superintendent to replace Gene Harris, who plans to retire in June.
