Hot or Not: J. Crew Teach for America T-Shirt, AFT-Norma Kamali Fashion Line

About 75 Teach for America teachers started work in Ohio schools this year. Now they’ll have something to wear.

J. Crew is selling a $32.50 cotton t-shirt with a giant orange apple on the front to benefit Teach for America, Education Week reports.

Teach for America places recent college graduates into high-poverty classrooms across America. Last year, state lawmakers changed teacher licensure requirements in order to allow Teach for America participants to teach in Ohio.

(JCPenney has also supported Teach for America; earlier this year, the retailer asked customers to make donations to the group.)

Only x-small and xx-small are available on JCrew.com now, but don’t worry: You can always shop the Norma Kamali fashion line with special ties to the American Federation of Teachers, the nation’s second largest teachers union:

In these challenging economic times, when educators and other public employees are being asked to do more with less, Kamali and the AFT are partnering to help them look and feel good at an affordable cost.

The KamaliKulture line of women’s clothing is available in sizes 0-18 and offers a 25 percent discount to AFT members. AFT members modeled the line at the union’s annual convention.

What teacher wouldn’t want to wear this $99 sleeveless poly-spandex jumpsuit to work?
