Week Ahead: Free College Fair, Grants for Shared Services and More

Coming Up This Week

Monday: Big college fair in Columbus. The 33rd Annual Kiwanis College Fair features than 160 colleges and universities ready and willing to answer questions. Evening session from 6-8 p.m. is open to the public and includes free seminars on college financing.

Thursday: An Ohio Department of Development council meets to award some of the $45 million allocated by the state to support shared services, collaboration and mergers among schools and other public entities. Last time around, the Local Government Innovation Council awarded more than $1 million in grants to Ohio schools and educational service centers.

Thursday: The Ohio Council of Community Schools hosts a screening of parent-trigger movie Won’t Back Down. It’s like Waiting for Superman, but not really. Info on other Ohio screenings here and here.
