“Storm cleanup costs rising along coast”

The town of Hampton has already spent almost 70 percent of their snow removal budget.


Costs are growing for coastal communities cleaning up from winter storms this month. A powerful nor’easter hit the coast hard two weeks ago, and it was followed by another storm a few days ago. Officials said several factors, including the timing of the snowfall and how long it took to clean up, have contributed to the strain on their budgets.
