“More Travelers Expected As Gas Prices Drop”

As gas prices decrease, New Englanders are expected to travel more this Memorial Day weekend, and farther. This is good for N.H.’s tourism industry, which is expecting to see a boost in spending five percent higher than it was this time last year.


Warm weather and lower gas prices are expected to encourage thousands of Southern New Hampshire residents to hit the road this Memorial Day weekend. They will be leaving town as early as today, getting an early start as they join an estimated 34.8 million Americans traveling 50 or more miles away from home this weekend, according to Pat Moody, spokesman for AAA of Northern New England.
