N.H. Ranks 19th Best State For Business

Last week, CNBC released its 2012 ranking of America’s top states for business. New Hampshire came in 19th overall, and was:

  • 1st for quality of life;
  • 2nd for business-friendliness;
  • 8th for education;
  • 19th for access to capital;
  • 26th for technology and innovation;
  • 34th for economy;
  • 35th for cost of doing business;
  • 40th for cost of living;
  • 44th for workforce.

CNBC’s sixth annual study once again puts all 50 states to the test, measuring them on 43 different metrics in ten key categories of competitiveness. We weight those categories based on how frequently the states use them as selling points to attract business.
