Idaho farmers and ranchers continue to lead the state’s slow economic recovery, recently released personal income data shows.
Idaho’s farming sector was responsible for a large chunk of the state’s increase in total personal income in 2011, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. Idaho’s personal income jumped $2.7 billion to a record $52.8 billion in 2011, a 5.4 percent increase from 2010.
