“Nearly 18 Million U.S. Households Had Trouble Getting Food Last Year”

From 2009-2011, 13.7 percent of Idaho households were “food insecure,” meaning they had difficulty getting food. That’s just under the national average, but the difference isn’t statistically significant.


There was a slight increase in the number of households where lack of money or other resources made getting food difficult at times.
