Idaho Exports Of Livestock Multiply

The number of live animals being exported from Idaho is rising rapidly, as some dairy and beef cattle producers are finding higher offers from foreign buyers hard to turn down.

Idaho sold $10.3 million worth of live animals to other countries during the first half of the year, almost double the total recorded last year during the same period and far ahead of the $666,000 total in 2010.

Dairy and beef cows accounted for the vast majority of that total.
