Jobless Claims Rose By 34,000 Last Week – “After soaring to above 650,000 a week in early 2009, the pace has fallen — but has been stuck in a range from roughly 360,000 to just under 400,000 for the last 10 months. Economists say claims have been another in a series of signs that the economy continues to produce jobs.” NPR
Federal funds to help airport – “The Coeur d’Alene Airport has landed a $2.5 million grant to repair dangerous surface issues, said airport Manager Greg Delavan. Sen. Mike Crapo has confirmed that the Federal Aviation Administration dollars have been secured, Delavan said on Tuesday, though the airport has yet to receive the grant paperwork.” Coeur d’Alene Press
Idaho’s D.C. lawmakers won’t disclose tax returns – “Sen. Jim Risch is listed as the 16th-richest member of Congress in Roll Call’s 2011 report, which relies on annual personal financial disclosure forms. Risch and the other three members of Idaho’s delegation declined a request from McClatchy for their tax returns. Risch, the only one of the four who sent McClatchy a reply, says that congressional forms are more detailed because they reveal all assets. “ Idaho Statesman
