Social Media Clout Helps Determine College Grades

For the past two semesters, marketing students at FSU have been graded in part on their influence — which is based on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media sites. And its sparked some controversy.


Todd Bacile’s Klout score has likely jumped this week. The Florida State University marketing instructor has been the subject of a lot of discussion – and outrage – since he shared his practice of grading students based on their Klout score.
