School Districts Prepare To Head Over The Fiscal Cliff

If Congress can’t strike a deal to head off looming budget cuts, schools could see their funding cuts. Florida’s urban districts would likely be hit harder because they receive more federal funding.


During the campaign, both President Obama and Mitt Romney repeatedly extolled the value of schools and teachers. Mr. Romney, in their first debate last month, even vowed, “I’m not going to cut education funding.”
