Pasco School Evacuations for Wednesday

The Pasco School District has had to close 20 elementary, middle and high schools due to continued flooding from Tropical Storm Debby. Find out where students enrolled in Pasco’s before-and-after-school program, PLACE, can go instead.


Extended flooding has led to an evacuation order for sections of southwest Pasco County. As a result, several schools will be closed on Wednesday. They are:

Richey, Cotee River, Deer Park, James Marlowe, Mittye P. Locke, Anclote, Seven Springs, Longleaf, Trinity, Trinity Oaks, Sunray, Gulf Trace, and Gulfside elementary schools; Gulf, Paul R. Smith and Seven Springs middle schools; Gulf, Anclote and J.W. Mitchell high schools; and Harry Schwettman Education Center.
