Miami-Dade And Key Biscayne Parents Reach Agreement To Expand MAST Academy

Residents of Key Biscayne will have priority for slots at the new expanded academy. But there will still be a lottery for access to one of the state’s best magnet programs.


Miami-Dade Schools There will be an official naming process to rename the overall school that will house MAST and two new academies on Virginia Key. The Miami-Dade School Board unanimously approved a compromise this week to expand the school options at the marine-themed MAST Academy on Virginia Key.
