Manatee Superintendent Announces Retirement

Tim McGonegal has lead the district since 2009 after formerly serving in the district finance department.


BRADENTON – Tim McGonegal, superintendent of Manatee schools, announced Wednesday he will retire effective Feb. 28. He is retiring for personal reasons, a school district press release said. McGonegal, former head of finance for the district, has been superintendent since January 2009, when he replaced Roger Dearing, who served as Superintendent in Manatee County from 2003 to 2009.
