Idaho Announces Which Teachers Have Earned Merit Pay Bonuses

Voters will decide the future of Idaho’s merit pay rules this November, but the state Department of Education has posted a list of teachers who earned bonuses this year. The merit pay was included in a package of reforms which also included limiting collective bargaining and requiring online courses.


The state Department of Education has posted data online telling school districts which teachers have earned a performance bonus under a new merit pay plan. Districts were notified Wednesday they’ll have 30 days to review and appeal the state data being used to calculate the pay-for-performance bonuses.
