Florida Gulf Coast University Appeals Tuition Increase Decision

The state has approved a 12 percent tuition increase for Florida Gulf Coast University. But the college wants to raise tuition by more than that. Now its going to appeal the decision.


FGCU will appeal a Florida Board of Governors decision that undercut its proposal for a 14 percent tuition increase. Trustees at FGCU voted 11-0 Monday to ask the Florida Board of Governors to reconsider last week’s decision to instead approve only a 12 percent hike for in-state undergraduates.
